I spy something that isn't here and isn't what you think it is

Otter and I have been playing a version of I Spy. He's still a bit unclear on the concept.

He said his plastic mainly beige/cream (with some other colors on it) Dora stove in his bedroom was a blue and purple wooden thing he was spying in the living room.

It's kind of fun. It keeps me guessing.

Promises promises promises

We're still here--looking for work further north nearer family, moving past the former NB's first birthday.

I truly want to update here more. As in at least weekly, ideally daily.

We'll see if it happens.

One note on how kids echo you: the other morning, as I told Otter to "just wait, I'll help you after I finish emptying the dishwasher," he said sadly: "Mama, when you say that, it drives me nuts."

He does have to wait a lot. I'm working on being better about that.
